Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how I Do & Snap ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores and protects personal information when you use our wedding photo-sharing service at idoandsnap.co.nz (the "Service"). We comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
1. Information we collect
- Account & event details — your name and your partner's first name, email address, wedding date, and (optionally) venue and guest count.
- Photos & videos — the Content uploaded to your album by you and your guests, and any name a guest chooses to enter when uploading.
- Payment information — payments are handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment but do not store your full card details.
- Technical data — basic information such as device and browser type and usage data, used to keep the Service secure and working well.
2. How we use your information
- To create and run your private album and provide the Service;
- To process your payment and send you your album link and account access;
- To send essential service messages (such as an album-expiry reminder);
- To maintain the security, integrity and performance of the Service.
3. Storage & security
Your account data and uploaded Content are stored using Supabase (database and file storage) and the Service is hosted on Vercel. Your album is private by default — only people with your unique link or QR code can upload, and only you can view and download the full gallery. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.
4. Sharing with third parties
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the trusted providers that help us run the Service, including:
- Stripe — payment processing;
- Supabase — database, authentication and file storage;
- Vercel — website and application hosting;
- our email provider — to send your album link and service messages.
5. Guests' information
Guests can upload photos and videos without creating an account. Any name a guest enters is shown to the couple alongside their uploads. If you are a guest and would like an upload removed, please contact the couple or email us.
6. Data retention
Your album and its Content are kept for 3 months after your wedding date, after which they may be deleted. We may keep limited records (such as proof of purchase) for as long as required by law.
7. Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to access and correct the personal information we hold about you, and to request its deletion. To make a request, email us at hello@idoandsnap.com.
8. International storage
Some of our providers may store data on servers located outside New Zealand. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information remains protected to a comparable standard.
9. Cookies
We use only the cookies and similar technologies necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We do not use them for third-party advertising.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
